HAL has announced 150 Junior Executive vacancies across nine engineering disciplines:

The highest number of vacancies is available in Mechanical Engineering with 78 posts, followed by Electrical Engineering with 25 and Electronics Engineering with 21 vacancies.

HAL Recruitment 2026 – Educational Qualification

Candidates should possess a Regular/Full-Time Degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University/Institute under the prescribed education system.

Eligible branches include:

• Aeronautical: Aerospace, Aeronautical
• Civil: Civil Engineering
• Computer Science: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Science & IT, Information Technology, CSE, CSE (AI), CSE (AI & ML), Cyber Security and other specified computer-related branches
• Chemical: Chemical Engineering
• Electrical: Electrical, Electrical & Electronics, Electrical & Instrumentation, Electrical & Power Engineering and specified related branches
• Electronics: Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Electronics & Telecommunication, VLSI-related branches and specified related branches
• Production: Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and specified related branches
• Mechanical: Mechanical, Mechanical & Industrial Engineering, Mechanical & Production Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical & Automation and related branches
• Metallurgy: Metallurgy, Materials & Metallurgy, Metallurgy & Materials Engineering and related branches.

Candidates with 5/6-year Integrated Engineering Degrees in the relevant discipline are also eligible.

Important Qualification Condition

Only qualifications obtained through Regular/Full-Time courses are eligible. Degrees obtained through Correspondence, Distance Education, Part-Time or E-Learning modes are not eligible unless specifically permitted in the notification.

Minimum Marks Required

Candidates must have the following minimum aggregate marks:

• UR/OBC-NCL/EWS: 60%
• SC/ST/PwBD: 50%

The aggregate is calculated using the marks obtained across all semesters/years, and no rounding off is allowed.

HAL Junior Executive Age Limit

The upper age limit is 28 years as on 17 October 2026 for UR and EWS candidates.

Age relaxation is applicable as follows:

• SC/ST: 5 years
• OBC-NCL: 3 years
• PwBD: 10 years, over and above applicable SC/ST/OBC-NCL relaxation
• Other applicable relaxations will be provided according to HAL/Government rules.

HAL Junior Executive Salary 2026

Selected Junior Executives will be inducted in the E0 Pay Scale of ₹30,000–₹1,20,000.

The initial remuneration includes:

• Basic Pay: ₹30,000 per month
• Dearness Allowance (DA)
• House Rent Allowance (HRA) as applicable
• Cafeteria Allowance: 35% of Basic Pay
• Annual Increment: 3% of Basic Pay in the second and third year

Additional benefits include medical insurance reimbursement up to ₹25,000 per year for coverage up to ₹10 lakh, applicable leave benefits, uniform and shoe allowance, PF contribution, gratuity subject to conditions, TA/DA and other specified benefits.

HAL Junior Executive Job Tenure

The Junior Executive engagement is on a short-term/tenure basis for a maximum period of three years from the date of engagement.

The engagement automatically ends after completion of three years and does not carry any automatic extension. The notification also clarifies that this engagement does not confer the status of a regular HAL Executive.

HAL Recruitment 2026 – Application Fee

• UR/OBC-NCL/EWS: ₹500
• SC/ST/PwBD: No application fee

The ₹500 application fee is inclusive of 18% GST. The fee, once paid, is non-refundable.

HAL Recruitment 2026 – Selection Process

The selection process consists of an Interview only.

Eligible candidates will be shortlisted based on their aggregate marks in the qualifying examination. Candidates may be called for interview in a maximum ratio of 1:10 against the number of vacancies in each discipline and category.

Candidates must secure at least 50% marks in the Interview to qualify, with applicable relaxation for SC/ST/PwBD candidates as per rules.

The interview is tentatively scheduled for November 2026.
