The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is one of India’s most prestigious national-level exams conducted jointly by the IITs and IISc Bangalore. It evaluates the technical knowledge and analytical ability of engineering graduates across various branches.

The GATE exam is conducted in an online (computer-based) mode. It consists of 65 questions for a total of 100 marks, and the duration of the exam is 3 hours.

Current GATE Stipend Details
M.Tech/ME: Stipend of ₹12,400 Per Month for 2 years
Ph.D: Stipend of ₹28,000 to ₹35,000 per month Depends on Institutions for 5 years
Additional Benefits: Contingency grant, hostel subsidy, and other academic allowances as per institute norms.
